About this Event
Presenter: Millie Shepich
Being in a helping role in a school community can be rewarding yet challenging for the personal well-being of staff members. There are times when self-care takes a back seat in some staff members’ daily priorities.
In part 2 of Mental Health: A Collective Approach to Supporting Students and Staff, the focus will be on adult well-being with a review and demonstration of practical self-care strategies that allow participants to take inventory of their mental health toolbox. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on personal health habits to support their overall mental wellness through actively engaging in techniques for calm breathing, muscle relaxation, and other physical and emotional health-promoting information and resources.
Objectives- Participants will:
- Reignite their mental well-being with practical self-care strategies
- Review resources to support the mental health of self and others
