About this Event
Wellbeing MOT
A 30 minute appointment with a Wellbeing Advisor in the employee’s workplace. Advisors are not medical professionals but experts on lifestyle and behaviour change, with a knowledge on signposting into other community services. Attendees can set a goal/s to support any lifestyle changes discussed. Follow up support is offered to everyone who would like it.
Individuals have the option of using a set of Tanita body analysis scales. The scales give a snapshot of several key indicators of optimal health including BMI, weight, body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass and current hydration levels. They also provide a metabolic age which is calculated from a combination of the data measured.
All information shared by the individual in the appointment is treated as strictly confidential. We hope that the session either reaffirms all the good work they are doing already or is a stepping stone to help make small, realistic, achievable changes to improve their wellbeing.
Body Analysis scale requirements:
• The Tanita scales send an electrical signal through the body (you won’t feel a thing) and require bare feet to analyse. Individuals must wear socks and shoes that can be easily removed.
• Individuals who are pregnant, have a pacemaker, metal replacement joints or plates, artificial limbs, or cannot stand unaided are unable to use the scales.
