Saturday, April 27th, from 6 to 8 PM, the Pearl Works coworking space in downtown Monterey will transform into a hub of goodwill and repair.
Slowfiber and the Pearl Works' annual Earth Day event focusses on repairing what you wear, as well as repairing our community by helping those who become unhoused.
Learn mending techniques, have volunteers repair favorite items, and enjoy wine and other beverages while helping raise money for Community Human Services' local homeless programs.
Bring along a few items of clothing that you want fixed and we will either teach you how to mend it or do it for you! Whether it is a hole that needs patching, a sweater that needs darning, a button that needs to be replaced, or if you want to reinforce wearing spots before they tear, we will have a team of volunteers there to help you mend your clothes.
The evening will include a raffle and other opportunities to raise money for Community Human Services. Every dollar raised will directly impact the lives of those in need in our community.
So mark your calendars, gather your beloved garments, and join us for an evening of goodwill, repair, and philanthropy.
The ticket price includes access to the event and Mending Circles. If you'd like our repair fairies to mend your clothes for you, that will be priced by the item.
We have limited space, so save your spot today!
