We are on a mission to embrace sustainability and part of that is to encourage our wonderful sewists to make repairs and alterations to their existing garments.Let’s face it, despite the rewards for doing it, it’s not the most exciting sewing project. So, to make it a little more exciting we are organising mending meet-ups. Bring along your pile of mending and let’s help each other to get the job done with a lot of chat and laughter on the way! We promise there will be cake to keep you going!
Leanne will be on hand to help and advise where needed, so don’t worry if you have never done anything like this before. Zips, hems, rips or more. You name it, we can help you tackle it.
And if you would like to customise a garment to make it ‘new’ again, we have been collecting gorgeous fabric scraps and also have a wide selection of threads ready for you to use. Choose to copy one of our ideas, or design something of your own. Either way, we will be on hand to offer inspiration and guidance.
So bring along your garments and have a little fun. We can’t wait!
