M-CAFF's feature film "Family Across the Sea" 1990 tells the story of an African Americans trip to Sierra Leone where enslaved rice planters came from hundreds of years ago. The lead traveler, Mr. Emory Campbell, Penn Center Executive Director Emeritus, will lead a discussion as the first Chairman of the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission created by Congressman James Clyburn's National Heritage Area legislation in 2006.
