Make 2026 the year you love your clothes a little bit longer! In January, Raven ReCentre is offering a week of ‘mend and tend’ services for your clothing and leather footwear in partnership with local wearable art creator and textile artist Janet Patterson.
Janet will be available to do simple repairs such as sewing on buttons, mending socks or wool sweaters, stitching ripped seams, and polishing/conditioning leather shoes and boots.
She’d also be delighted to teach you how to do your own repairs and maintenance.
Janet will be at Raven between January 13th-17th from 10 am to 2 pm each day. Look for her in the area where Raven’s old thrift store used to be by the Bottle Depot area.
Cost of this service is a small donation to cover the price of the materials (thread, needles, buttons, shoe polish, etc.).
