About this Event
Wel at Humana is excited to partner with Team RWB and Humana's Salute NRG for Memorial Miles - a day dedicated to meaningful movement. Join us to move as far as we can in 41 minutes and 2 seconds - one second for each of the 2,462 service members who lost their lives in the war in Afghanistan. Together, we'll move for a good cause and connect with community.
All participants are able to dedicate their miles to those KIA (from any conflict). If you do not know anyone who was killed in service, we will provide resources to help you find someone to honor.
The cost to attend? Giving. This event is in partnership with the local VFW and Humana who have been "Uniting to Combat Hunger" since 2018. This campaign is designed to raise awareness and fight food insecurity across the country. Although the event is free to attend, we are encouraging you to bring non-perishable food items to donate. These donatins will be delivered to the local food bank.
NEED TO KNOW:
- Route is ADA compliant.
- You can choose to walk, run, roll, or ruck for the time.
- Please bring water and a towel if needed.
- Participants are encouraged to stick around after the event to learn more about Wel at Humana's services and utilize the recovery station provided.
