For our Memorial Day class, we'll be doing The Murph Challenge. We will be raising money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.About this Event
This workout is performed to honor the memories of those who served in the armed forces and paid the ultimate sacrifice. “Murph” honors the life of Lieutenant Michael Murphy from Patchogue, NY, who died serving in Afghanistan in 2005.
The Murph workout is done for time and consists of:
- A one-mile run
- 100 pull-ups
- 200 push-ups
- 300 squats
- Another one-mile run
The mile can be run outside (make a right out the gym, run down Quentin to East 35th - to the Pilates vault - & back). The Mile can also be done outside in the backyard, on the rower, or treadmill.
Either way you get that mile just be sure to complete the full mile before beginning your pull, push & squat.
