About this Event

Set aside time to preserve the stories that you don’t want to slip away as time passes.

Whether you want to write your story, or the story of someone you have lost; if you have previous writing experience or not, it is time to document the stories that no one else can.

Join Kim Rich for a three week memoir mini-series during which you will use guided meditation, photographs, and prompts to start recording your memories.

Sign up for one, two, or all three sessions!

Journals included in the registration fee - but you can bring a laptop if you prefer to type

(We are on the backside of Waterstreet Studios, just a little further down 1st Street down the drive on your right. If you put Step Above Dance Academy in your GPS, we're right next to them. Go up the outdoor staircase. If you need handicap access, enter at the new Warehouse 55 on 1st and make your way through their shop to us.)

Session One: November 3rd 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We will begin with a guided meditation walking you through the big and small events of your life and end with drafting a timeline of events that you may want to include in your memoir.

Session Two: November 10th 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We will begin with an activity using the photos in our phones, have time for quiet, independent writing, with time left for reflection and sharing at the end (no pressure to share!!)

Session Three: November 17th 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We will start with a sensory snapshot, focusing on the detail of our memoir drafts, followed by time for quiet, independent writing, with time left for reflection and sharing at the end (no pressure to share!!). You will leave with goals set to continue this work on your own!
