For years, Memberz Syndicate has been a self-sustaining contemporary roots force in Toronto's reggae community. With an ever-evolving line-up, the band is nowa nonet, providing a variety of styles for dancers and listeners alike: lovers rock, classic hits, militant and Rasta-conscious lyricism and relationship songs. The same assortment of genres are present on their debut album Set Dem Free which is being released on October 22nd and being celebrated with a show the following day at BSMT254, on Thursday October 23rd, with support from T.O. reggae/rock stars Black Creek Reign and Black Heart Iniversal on the decks.
