This workshop will begin with a quick tour of the museum’s first-floor family galleries to gather inspiration from Dog Show, a celebration of human-dog relationships across geography and time. In the classroom, families will learn techniques to capture the personality and likeness of their canine companions.Ideal for ages 10 and up (younger students may need extra assistance), this class is open to families of all ages. Basics of graphite transfer, as well as marker, watercolor, and gouache media, will be explored. Participants will need to bring a printed “headshot” photo of their furry friend on copy paper (Black and white is fine) to be drawn on for the transfer.
All materials provided; registration required.
