This is a prerequisite for both Lathe and Mill classes coming in the next two weeks. Must be 18 or 16+ with a guardian to participate! Also must wear closed toe shoes to all classes!
The instructor John Haynie has twenty-five years of experience in an industrial setting as a machinist and tool maker. Expertise in blueprint reading, inspection and measurement equipment, and setup and operation of all types of conventional machine tools. Highly qualified to develop, design, and produce parts from blueprints, sketches, or samples. Well experienced in all aspects of machining to include Tool & Die, machine build, machine repair, tooling fixtures, and production set up. Proficient with MIG and Stick welding.
After retiring John taught for five years in the Machine Tool Program at Northeast State Community College.
