About this Event
We have booked Mencap's beach hut for the use of our members. It is very conveniently placed at the entrance to Old Hunstanton beach near the car park, the café and the RNLI station. The hut is fully equipped with seating and tables. There is even an "off-road" beach wheelchair if anyone needs to borrow it.
We can accommodate 25 people - please book a space for all adults and children attending.
Feel free to bring a picnic, or the café opposite is open. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the beach hut.
Parking is at the beach car park (next to Le Strange Arms Hotel) and costs around £5 depending on the time of year. Anyone with severe mobility issues can be dropped off down near the beach hut very briefly as long as they don't block the lifeboat station - the driver must then move and park back up in the beach car park.
Public toilets are nearby (on the beach car park) and there is a nearby water tap.
All children are the responsibility of their parents/carers and must be supervised at all times. All members use the beach and surroundings at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. Please be mindful of the risks of drowning and absconding etc and remember to bring reins and/or brightly coloured clothing if appropriate.
