The Ransom Center Member Tour is an ongoing series where we create an intimate setting for Members to find new, exciting points of entry into our collections.
For our final installment of 2022, Head of Membership Monte Monreal will take members on a private guided tour of . Enjoy a close look at the work, the stories woven into each piece, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes that can only emerge over the course of an exhibition.
We’ll begin with light bites and beverages at our Happy Half-Hour, followed by an hour-long tour. Space is limited and advance registration is required.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Laura Wilson has photographed some of the most influential writers of our time. This exhibition of her work at the Ransom Center features a selection of her powerful portraits documenting highly accomplished, award-winning writers. Immersing herself in each writer's own personal setting, Wilson reveals the details that have inspired their literary masterworks.
The exhibition is drawn from her forthcoming book, The Writers: Portraits (Yale University Press, 2022). See stunning photographic portraits of J. M. Coetzee, Jim Crace, Rachel Cusk, Edwidge Danticat, Louise Erdrich, Carlos Fuentes, Gabriel García Márquez, Tim O'Brien, Zadie Smith, and Tom Stoppard, among many others. The papers of many of the writers portrayed are collected at the Ransom Center.
The exhibition is generously funded by the Marlene Nathan Meyerson Family Foundation, Richard Groenendyke, and David and Ellen Berman.
