Join us for a first look into our newest exhibition, Stitched in Favor: 200 Years of the Historic St. James Episcopal Church and explore the stories of the first Black Episcopal Church south of the Mason-Dixon Line and third oldest in the United States through hand-embroidered samplers, photographs, and objects. Attendees will view the exhibition with Abby Doran, Assistant Curator, and Catherine Arthur, MCHC Vice President of Collections and Chief Curator, as they offer insight through hand-embroidered samplers, photographs, and objects.
