Be among the first to dive into Water’s Extreme Journey – A Watershed Experience, an immersive new traveling exhibit that lets you step into the path of a drop of water as it winds through West Virginia’s watersheds. With custom panels highlighting local rivers and the organisms that thrive within them, this interactive maze will have you seeing our waterways in a whole new light.During this special preview, members can enjoy even more water-themed fun throughout the Clay Center:
- Water Tunnel Books: Craft your own layered tunnel book, a paper project where each cut and fold reveals a peek-through river scene.
- Boat Design Challenge: Build and test your own miniature boat to see if your design can stay afloat and sail the distance.
- River Dance Party: Limbo, dance, and splash into the rhythm of fun with water-inspired moves.
- WV Watercolor Waterways: Contribute to a large-scale community mural by painting a watercolor panel that will join with others to form a flowing, connected masterpiece.
This special evening is more than an exhibit preview — it’s a celebration of water’s journey, from science and art to movement and play. Don’t miss your chance to experience it first!
