The Art of Understanding: Bridging Styles, Solutions & Generations
Date: Tuesday, January 13, 2026
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Facilitators:
- Anne Millehan, Millehan Coaching and Consulting
- Lois James, OPX Solutions
Today’s workplace brings together multiple generations, diverse communication styles, and different expectations about how work should get done. That mix can be a powerful advantage—but only if we know how to navigate it.
The Art of Understanding is a high-impact professional development experience designed to strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and build connection across today’s multi-generational workforce.
Through practical insights and real-world scenarios, participants will explore how different communication styles, values, and expectations shape everyday interactions. This masterclass equips leaders and teams with tools to navigate misunderstandings, adapt their approach, and create a more collaborative, productive workplace.
It’s all about transforming tension into teamwork by understanding the people behind the conversations.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify core communication styles and how they influence workplace interactions.
- Recognize generational differences without stereotyping—and learn what each generation truly values.
- Apply conflict-management tools that reduce tension and increase alignment.
- Adapt communication methods to ensure clarity, trust, and follow-through.
- Strengthen collaboration using practical strategies that bridge styles and generations.
This masterclass is ideal for:
- Business owners and executives
- Managers and emerging leaders
- HR and talent development professionals
- Team leads and project managers
- Anyone who regularly collaborates across teams, departments, or generations
If you’re responsible for leading people, building culture, or improving team performance, this session is for you.
