Mel’s Car Shows is holding a cruise from Altoona to the Janesville Car Show on Sunday, September 7th. For this show, we will be giving out custom awards for pre-determined categories. All proceeds benefit local charities.
Registration is $15 and will be at 9:00 am at the cruise meeting location.
For those wanting to be at the show but not participate in the cruise, registration will be at the Janesville location from 10 am to 1 pm and is $15.
**CRUISE DETAILS**
Those who would like to participate in the cruise will meet at the Logan Valley Mall, the Macy's side, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Mel will register your cars for the cruise as you arrive and will register as many as she can until 10:00 AM.
10:00 AM - leave the Logan Valley Mall
If you happen to be late, join at the end of the cruise line, before the Irvona Fire Co.
**The Irvona Fire Company will be our end vehicle running lights to keep us safe and will be with us the whole cruise**
**The Blair County Police Department will be leading us, leaving the mall to Route 36**
We will be leaving out the back side of the Logan Valley Mall follow 58th Street, turning LEFT onto Kittanning Point Rd/Veterans Memorial Highway
~ 10:15 AM - Passing the Horseshoe Curve
Continuing on Glenwhite Road. Turn RIGHT onto Coupon Gallitzin Road.
~ 10:20 AM - Turning LEFT onto Route 36 at the Burger Hut
**Station 60 - Ashville Fire Company will be doing traffic control for all of us to cross traffic as a group. They will also be doing a boot drive. I encourage you to donate as they'll be keeping us safe**
~ 10:25 AM - Turning RIGHT onto Route 53
~ 10:35 AM - Turning LEFT onto Marina Road
** Station 28 - Glendale Fire Company will be doing traffic control for all of us to cross traffic as a group.**
~10:40 AM - Turn Right into the Prince Gallitzin Marina
** This will be our second DESIGNATED meeting point. We will park, hang out, and Mel will continue to register cars that joined us along the way. There are public restrooms here as well.
~11:30 AM - Leave the Marina and continue the cruise. We will be turning RIGHT out of the Marina.
**The Irvona Fire Company will be our end vehicle running lights to keep us safe. They will allow all of us to exit the Marina as a group**
~11:37 AM - Turn RIGHT onto Beaver Valley Road
~ 11:45 AM - Turn LEFT returning back to Route 53.

Continue to follow Route 53 through Fallentimber, Coalport, Irvona, to Glen Hope.
~12:00 NOON - In Glen Hope, Turn RIGHT onto Route 729
~12:15 PM - Turn RIGHT onto Walnut Street
~12:17 PM - Arrive at the Janesville Dam/Mountz Memorial Park
~12:18 PM - Car Show Family Fun Commences!
