Grab your boots, grab your hat, and do-si-do your way down to Melrose for a not-to-be-missed night of line dancing on Saturday 15th November, 2025. The Melrose Dust N Dance Hoedown is a collaboration between the community of Melrose, and Hoedowns For Country Towns co-founders Kate Strong and Claire Harris, who ran 75 bootscooting events across Australia throughout 2022 and raised almost $40,000 for rural charities along the way.
Held at the Melrose Showgrounds, the Melrose Dust N Dance Hoedown is a family-friendly event open to all, regardless of age, dance experience, or affinity for country music.
Beginner line dances will be taught throughout the night, with a two-course meal, dancing demos, raffles, and awards all part of the jam-packed agenda. Live music from Hold My Beer will keep the party rocking well into the night.
Profits raised from the event will be donated to Rural Aid.
