You might know the trio of the same name from gigs at Edinburgh's Jazz Bar. At the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club, we're having an extended version of that band, the Mellotones Ensemble for you. Expect superb, swinging Jazz for both listening and dancing.The band line-up is Jimmy Taylor on bass and as vocalist, Alan Anderson on the piano, Dave Swanson on the drums, Keith Edwards on the tenor sax and Dave Bachelor as trombonist.
The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!
No need to book in advance, just come along! The entry fee of £12 (£10 for members) can be paid at the door by card, cash or cheque. The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
