Nach der Veröffentlichung ihrer drei Alben (Oí Na‘ Ma, Familia Caribe und Proyecto Colonia), die hauptsächlich aus Instrumentalstücken bestehen, kehrt die kolumbianische Komponistin Melissa Pinto dieses Mal mit einem neuen, unveröffentlichten Projekt zurück, bei dem gesungene Worte und Poesie im Mittelpunkt stehen.
Melissa Pinto schreibt Verse über Geschichten aus ihrer Heimatstadt Cartagena de Indias oder über Themen wie nostaligsche Gedanken an das Land und die Traditionen der Karibik. Diese Lieder, die in der Tradition kolumbianischer und südamerikanischer Musik verwurzelt sind, werden von der jungen kubanischen Sängerin Claudia Ramos Barreto und Melissa Pinto am Flügel vorgetragen. Als Gäste aus Köln werden der Saxophonist Julius van Rhee, der Bassist Jakob Jäger sowie der Schlagzeuger Simon Bräumer dabei sein.

Following the release of her three albums (Oí Na‘ Ma, Familia Caribe and Proyecto Colonia), which consist mainly of instrumental pieces, Colombian composer Melissa Pinto returns this time with a new, unreleased project that focuses on sung words and poetry.
Melissa Pinto writes verses about stories from her home town of Cartagena de Indias or about themes such as nostalgic thoughts about the country and the traditions of the Caribbean. These songs, rooted in the tradition of Colombian and South American music, will be performed by the young Cuban singer Claudia Ramos Barreto and Melissa Pinto on the piano. Guests from Cologne will include saxophonist Julius van Rhee, bassist Jakob Jäger, and drummer Simon Bräumer.
