On August 15th, 2023, Ferrick released the song, Black Dress, via the venerable K*ll Rock Stars Records. This release coincides with the 30th anniversary of Ferrick's critically acclaimed major label debut, Massive Blur. Ferrick will be celebrating the release and her 30th anniversary by touring a retrospective show titled, Throughlines. In other big news, Melissa has started Drive Music Agency (DMA), where she currently manages Brennan Wedl and Joh Chase. Besides her work in the music industry, Ferrick is a professor at northeastern university, where they teach courses in the music business, songwriting, creative entrepreneurship, demo recording and production, and the psychology of creativity. She holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
