Follow Melinda - https://www.melindaadamsmusic.com/Melinda Adams began her musical journey in Northwest Houston, where she started playing flute at age 11. Her passion for music led her to Baylor University on music scholarships, where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree. During her college years, she performed and sang in church praise bands and taught private lessons, developing both her performance and teaching skills.
After college, Melinda branched out into the commercial music scene, joining local country bands and discovering her love for the bass guitar. She performed with the Sul Ross Band, opening for well-known Texas artists such as No Justice, Kyle Park, and the Cody Johnson Band.
Eventually, Melinda set her sights on singing lead full-time and formed the Station Creek Band, which went on to open for acts including Jonny Burke, Adam Hood, Bri Bagwell, and Roger Creager. Station Creek became a familiar name across Central Texas, performing on notable stages such as Brazos Nights’ Fourth of July celebration and the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo.
In 2018, Melinda began focusing on her songwriting as a solo artist - a journey she describes as “still finding herself” and “a constant work in progress.” Since then, she has opened for Adam Hood, Scooter Brown Band, and Ted Nugent, and in 2019, she embarked on a two-and-a-half-week tour through France, performing across seven cities.
Melinda draws inspiration from musical greats like Aretha Franklin, Linda Ronstadt, and Wynonna Judd. Her deep love for music shines through in every performance, captivating audiences with authenticity, emotion, and an unmistakable passion that drives her artistry.
