About this Event
This free one-day conference will focus on the design and development of games for learning and engagement. If you're interested in using games in any field/industry to teach, inspire, brainstorm or engage, come join us!
The conference will include presentations, discussion time, and a guided design workshop. The design workshop will be in groups organised by field/industry. This will provide an opportunity to develop ideas with others working on similar things. Please RSVP only if you plan to come, so we can ensure the groups are balanced in numbers and experience. Additionally, if you’re already making games and can bring/show what you’ve made, please email morris [dot] i [at] unimelb.edu.au. We will have an hour after morning tea to demonstrate our games, and I’d love to give you a table so you can show what you’ve made!
The conference will be at the University of Melbourne, and will run 10am-4pm on Jan 19th. This timing will hopefully make it accessible for students and teachers before the start of Term 1. Because the conference is free, coffee and lunch are not provided – there will be time throughout the day to buy or reheat food from nearby shops. Please also bring water – it will be summer!
If you can't attend, but want to stay updated with following talks or meetups, please join the mailing list here: https://forms.gle/frvuSmCVoEq7Eo9h7
