About this Event

What is the Melbourne Marketing Forum?
Four times a year, Melbourne’s brightest marketers gather in the CBD to hear from the experts and connect with industry peers over some drinks and finger food. At each event, two new guest speakers from leading brands share their invaluable knowledge in short, sharp, info-packed presentations.

Who attends?
Business leaders and Marketing and Communication professionals.

Why we run this event

The Melbourne Marketing Forum, previously known as the dm Forum has ran since 2002 and has helped build a network of professionals in Melbourne's marketing community. Since it's founding, this event has always donated money collected from ticket sales to a charity or social enterprise. Since 2022 we have supported Australian hospitality social-enterprise STREAT with the money raised.

How is this possible? We have had the long and ongoing support from our two major sponsors: Monash Business School and Australian video production company ANGRYchair.

For more information on the speakers, visit our website, and follow us on LinkedIn or sign up to our Newsletter to stay in the loop!

This event's speakers:

🌟 Dr Desley Lodwick 🌟

With a background spanning technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership development, Desley challenges conventional thinking, advocating for marketing approaches that align with how adults make sense of the world at different stages of development. Her work explores how shifting sense making capacities influence consumer behaviour, engagement strategies, and brand trust in an increasingly complex era.

An engaging speaker and thought leader, Desley offers a unique perspective to marketing by integrating contextualism, wise leadership, and adult development theory, which helps businesses navigate dynamic markets with greater insight and adaptability.

🌟 Jacqui Solly 🌟

Jacqui Solly is a self-confessed marketing nerd. Taking over 15 years in different marketing roles to discover that, in fact, Customer Strategy and Loyalty is the most interesting part of Marketing. She's worked across lifecycle, performance digital, customer strategy, and MarTech in start-up, small business, and corporate, and most recently has taken on the new role of Loyalty Manager at Australian RedCross Lifeblood.

Jacqui is passionate about providing and amplifying customer value through the value exchange and experience. Especially in our current landscape, our savvy customers expect their loyalty to be acknowledged and rewarded. She is known for galvanising teams across functions to create customer magic and brand success.

In her presentation, Jacqui will show the power of rewarding the customer, how getting people excited about something is the most powerful thing you can do, and how a Loyalty Program can save lives.
