Jacob's Ladder will collaborate with Rabbi Jessica Kate Meyer, Hebrew College’s Rosh Tefilah and Artist-in-Residence, for a soul-stirring, lively and heartwarming Melave Malka concert.Melave Malka, or "Escorting the Queen," is a beautiful tradition of saying a bittersweet farewell to Shabbat. The evening will feature a range of musical pieces from Jessica’s background, ranging in Mizrahi and Ashkenazi traditions and liturgy. Prepare yourself for an immersive, participatory, and festive Sukkot gathering right on the front lawn of Harvard Street!

About: Jessica Kate Meyer is a disarming interpreter of sacred melody and text. As a vocalist and storyteller, she has performed internationally with masters from Ashkenazi and Mizrahi traditions. As a rabbi and prayer leader, Jessica built songful community at Romemu in NYC and The Kitchen in San Francisco before joining Hebrew College faculty as Rosh Tefillah and Artist-in-Residence.
