Who’s ready for our first ever Christmas book exchange?
Our Christmas book exchange will be taking place at The Basilico, located at 68 King Street East in Bowmanville on Saturday, December 14th from 10 AM - 1 PM.
Here’s how this is going to work:
- Complete the Christmas book exchange questionnaire
- You will be matched with someone by Friday, November 22nd
- The spending limit is TBD
- Every gift box should include 1 book from your person's wishlist , 1-2 reading snacks and 1 Christmas themed item
In the event that you’re not able to make it, please make arrangements with myself or your person to pick-up the gift.
There is a $10 reservation fee that will be refunded to you the day of our meet-up.
Once I have been notified of your reservation, I will email you the Christmas book exchange questionnaire.
Please note that The Basilico no longer serves breakfast. We will be ordering from their lunch menu instead.
For those driving, there is only street parking which is free on the weekend.
As always, this is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Book), Audio or Kindle event.
The Melanin Silent Reading Club meets the second Saturday of every month in Scarborough or Durham Region from 10 AM - 1 PM.
This book club is for BIPOC women only.
You will get a chance to meet other book lovers like yourself, enjoy a meal, have some uninterrupted reading time and add a ton of books to your never ending book list.
