Hey fellow POGM-BIPOC nature lovers! Ready for some feathered fun? Join us for Melanin Munch - Bird Watching 101! Whether you're a seasoned birder or a first-timer, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Grab your binoculars (or borrow some from us) and come explore the amazing world of birds! It’s a great chance to connect with nature, learn something cool, and meet fellow bird lovers. Don’t miss out—see you there for some bird-filled fun!
Habitats to bird: Riparian
Prospect Park/Wheat Ridge Greenbelt features a variety of habitats and we can expect to encounter a nice array of different species.
Expectations & Accessibility Information: We will cover about 3 miles on paved or hard-packed gravel trails, with a short boardwalk section. There will be restroom access at the beginning and middle of the trip. Plan to dress for the weather and bring binoculars, water, sunscreen, and a snack. Gigi and Grace will bring their telescopes to share with the group.

Directions: Meet at the Youngfield St. entrance to the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt. From I-70 take Youngfield and proceed north to the parking lot on the right. You can also copy and paste these GPS cooiridinates into Google Maps -- 39°46'24.5"N 105°08'28.4"W
