About this Event
Join us for a week-long celebration of German culture, community, and connection, as German Week returns to Melbourne from 20 to 27 October. From cultural experiences in music, cuisine, and art to events in science, business, and education, the program showcases Germanyβs global contributions and vibrant presence in Melbourne.
As part of German Week, we are excited to invite you to an afternoon of business networking at the International Chamber House, bringing together leaders from government and industry.
We will be joined by the German Embassy, sharing current insights from a governmental perspective.
After hearing from government representatives, we will examine how organisations are leveraging technology to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and strengthen cybersecurity across their value chains during our panel discussion, "Digitalisation on a Global and Local Scale β A German Perspective".
Once a buzzword, digitalisation is now a core driver of efficiency and competitiveness. From automated manufacturing processes to AI-powered decision-making, businesses are increasingly turning to digital tools not only to optimise workflows but also to build resilience against ever-evolving operational and security risks.
The discussion will feature panellists from organisations such as Pilz, a global supplier of sensor, control, drive and software solutions for industrial automation and safety and InstaDeep, a pioneering AI company at the forefront of innovation and recently acquired by BioNTech.
Light refreshments will be served.
