Megan Jean's Secret Family arrange lyrically-driven original songs with a focus on melodic riffs, soaring vocals, and a southern rock sensibility that has landed them coveted spots on NPR's Mountain Stage and most recently at '24 &'25's Delfest hosted by Del McCoury and Family. They have performed alongside Reverend Horton Heat, Fastball, Joan Osbourne, Jason Carter Band, and more. In 2023 they were awarded an artistic merit grant from the Maryland State Arts Council to record their debut full-length album PLOT, which was released in October of last year. Front woman and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts alumnus Megan Jean and her partner, electric banjo player Byrne Klay have been performing together for 20 years as Megan Jean and the KFB, appearing on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, PBS's Music Voyager, and Heartland Network's More Than The Music.
