About this Event
Texas is at the forefront of an energy transformation. With rapid population growth, the expansion of heavy industry, and a wave of new data centers driven by artificial intelligence, the state’s electricity demand is rising fast, and the grid must keep up.
To meet this challenge, the America Conservation Coalition (ACC) and the Abundance Institute are hosting a forward-looking policy discussion on how Texas can unlock the energy generation needed to fuel its future.
This educational event will explore practical, scalable solutions to expand energy capacity—across all sources—to ensure reliability, affordability, and continued economic leadership.
Join our expert panel of researchers, advocates, and policymakers as they outline the bold steps Texas can take to stay ahead of demand and build an energy system fit for the future.
We’ll be joined by:
Texas State Rep. Drew Darby - District 72, San Angelo, Texas
Doug Lewin - Host of the Energy Capital Podcast and Author of the Texas Energy and Power Newsletter
Josiah Neeley - R Street Institute, Senior Fellow & Energy Policy Director
Josh T. Smith - Abundance Institute, Energy Policy Lead
