Meeting the Mental Health Needs of Older Adults

While older adults have lower rates of mental health and substance use issues than younger adults, these issues can impact functioning and quality of life much more profoundly with age. Professionals serving older adults need an understanding of the unique ways that these disorders can present in older adults, along with the evidence-based assessments and treatments. This workshop will include these topics based on a foundation of general knowledge and attitudes about aging.
Registration: $100, includes 6 Category I CEUs for licensed clinicians, lunch and snacks.
Register at: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/qg92n3v
This event will *also* be held November 6 in South Bend. If that date/location works better for you, you can register for the South Bend seminar here: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/yxxc5h3
Learning objectives:
-Recognize ageism in our society and its impact on all of us
-Identify unique presentations of older adult mental health issues
-Describe elements of evidence-based assessment and treatment that are unique to older adults
