Join us for a groovy evening of roller skating speed dating (this includes friend dating!) at the iconic Oaks Park Roller Rink Adult Skate Night on Tuesday, April 23rd, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Whether you're a seasoned skater or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone looking to make meaningful connections to the smooth R&B sounds of a live DJ on the roller rink floor.
Here's how it works:
- Buy your ticket ahead of time on eventbrite. Tickets include the cost of your skate rental and reserves your spot for speed dating. You're also welcome to opt out of speed dating but you must show proof of ticket purchase if you want us to reserve your skates ahead of time.
- Fill out the waiver before you arrive.
- Upon arrival to the roller rink, grab your skates by showing the rink staff your eventbrite ticket QR code.
- Then come find our pink Meeting Mutuals sign to be greeted and given a special sticker to indicate you're open to being approached by other speed daters. We'll also have our usual color-coded stickers to indicate exactly who you'd like to approach you (men, women, "the wine not the label," or others just looking for friends).
- Get yourself on the floor! Spend a few minutes chatting with each potential match as you skate around the rink together and we'll let you know when to switch partners.
You can opt out of the speed dating at any time and stick around for some free-skate time to mingle with your fellow participants. Who knows? You might just find someone special to share a couples skate with :)
Speed dating will begin around 7:15 and will go until the end of the night, at 9:00pm, so feel free to come by whenever during the event time range.
