About this Event
Impact Week Free Event: Meeting Demand for Impact: Building a Pipeline for Women and Girls in the Skilled Trades.
Great paying jobs in the skilled trades are increasingly in high demand, with indication for exponential growth of vacancies in the upcoming years.
And while historically the number of women in these fields has been low, that is changing! Women and girls are greatly encouraged AND NEEDED in this massive field of growth to meet demand. And these are high paying, stable jobs, and very rewarding.
So it's the pHERfect time to highlight and expand encouragement, training and employment for women in the wide array of training and jobs in the skilled trades.
Tallahassee is home to quality institutions at the ready for affordable training in the trades, along with superior jobs placement. Better yet, it is matched with a community eager to welcome women to bring their high level of detail and skill to the trades.
Whether community stakeholder seeking to help advance this initiative, or simply learning more about how to share these oppHERtunities with you daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers or friends, contributing to the wider conversation on how we amplify this message is IMPACTFUL.
So please join with us on November 20, 11am-12pm at Challenger Learning Center to connect with an ever-growing collaboration of area organizations and peoples eager to build the pipeline to make this a reality!
From Lively Technical College, NAWIC, ABC North Florida, Commissioner Curtis Richardson, Women Wednesdays, CSWG and many more, let's brainstorm and execute!
Upon arrival to Challenger Learning Center (200 S Duval Street, Tallahassee, FL) simply state you are attending the Women Wednesdays' event and the fee will be waived. See you there!
