This Valentine’s Day, Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control volunteers will host a special dog adoption event to help make love connections between people and the many adoptable shelter dogs in need of loving homes. The Meet Your Match Dog Adoption Event will be at Detroit Animal Care and Control from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at 1431 E. Ferry Street, Detroit. This event is perfect for singles, couples, friends, families, and anyone who would like to add more love to their life by adopting a dog.
The event is free, open to the public and will offer “doggie speed dating” where people can meet different shelter dogs to find their perfect match.
All adoptable dogs have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are fully vaccinated. Adoptees receive flea, tick, and heartworm preventative along with a goodie bag full of toys, treats, food, and more. There is a suggested $100 dog adoption donation fee that helps Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control support and care for other homeless pets.
Adopting a dog is a rewarding experience. You save their life and add a lot of joy to yours.
