Join us on this easy 2 mile hike around Prime Lake, an ephemeral water source on Anderson Mesa.You will need transportation to and from the trailhead, along with water, snacks, sun protection, and shoes for hiking. 𝐍𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞.
To get to the trailhead from Flagstaff, travel approximately 9 miles south on Lake Mary Road. Turn east (left) on Forest Road 128, towards the NPOI Observatory. Continue on the paved road as it swings to the right and climbs to the top of Anderson Mesa. You will see a pull-out for parking on your left, and additional spaces along the road to your right.
