The Derby Individuals of Kansas City present to you, the first-ever mixed ruleset Fantasy Draft Tournament.
What is a Fantasy Draft Tournament?
Our 8 Captains will select from the 120 signed-up skaters and will be showing up to meet and play together for the first time on April 18th in Kansas City, Missouri.
GAMEPLAY:
Each team will play 3 games Friday in the USARS ruleset, in a round-robin pool-play assigned by a random number generator. The outcome of pool play will set seedings for Bracket Play Sunday which will be played in the WFTDA/MRDA ruleset.
This is an open-gender tournament and all skill levels are welcome.
SOCIAL:
As this tournament is held on a long weekend, Saturday will be used as a social gathering day. We will be planning social events to explore Kansas City. Skaters are not obligated to join the party, but as this is a social tournament that counts for no standings and is designed to get people out there, we will be encouraging everyone to skate downtown and make friends.
There will additionally be an after-party on Sunday, April 20th.
TIMELINE:
1. Player Sign-ups Open
2. 120 invitations will be sent out.
3. 30-day deadline to accept invitation pay the entrance fee, and fill out waivers/paperwork
4. The second round of invitations will be sent out if anyone misses the deadline of the former.
5. Captains will hold a live draft 1 month before the event.

The Kansas City skaters with spare rooms, couches, or room for air mattresses, will be able to look at the respondents and offer free housing to any traveling skaters.
FEE:
The entrance fee will be $65 with an optional $10 to be put towards a pool for the officials. What comes with your entrance fee?
1. Every skater is guaranteed 6 games
2. Trading cards will be made for all the attending skaters and Each skater will be given a pack upon arrival.
3. Saturday Social events and Sunday After party.
4. Free spectating, any of your friends in KC can come watch free of charge.
Fees will be Non-Refundable, but Transferable. If you have to cancel for any reason, we will put you in contact with a waitlist player and will allow you to transfer your invitation privately.
