The grande dame of French-speaking Belgian literature turns seventy this year, and her work is only getting better. Her recent book Cher instant je te vois, which movingly explores the illness and death of a close friend, was particularly poignant.
During an evening at Bozar, she will discuss a lesser-known aspect of her oeuvre. Lamarche has written beautiful texts on visual art, including about the Flemish artist Berlinde De Bruyckere. In connection with the exhibition at Bozar, Lamarche will talk about her fascination with this unique work.

FR ⟶ Une grande dame de la littérature belge francophone fête cette année ses soixante-dix ans, et son œuvre ne cesse de gagner en profondeur et en éclat. Bouleversant, son récent ouvrage Cher instant je te vois évoque la maladie et la mort d’une amie proche, offrant un témoignage d’une rare intensité émotionnelle.
Lors d’une soirée à Bozar, elle s’exprimera sur un aspect méconnu de son œuvre : ses magnifiques écrits sur l’art plastique, et notamment sur Berlinde De Bruyckere. À l’occasion de la grande exposition personnelle organisée à Bozar, l’autrice partagera sa fascination pour l’univers artistique singulier et profondément marquant de l’artiste flamande. Le 14 mai, à Bozar, une voix majeure de la littérature belge rendra ainsi hommage à une figure incontournable de la scène artistique belge.

NL ⟶ De grande dame van de Franstalig-Belgische literatuur wordt dit jaar zeventig en haar werk wordt er alleen maar beter op. Aangrijpend was haar recente boek Kostbaar ogenblik ik zie je over de ziekte en dood van een nabije vriendin.
Tijdens een avond in Bozar praat ze over een minder gekend aspect van haar oeuvre. Lamarche schreef prachtige teksten over beeldende kunst, o.a. over de Vlaamse kunstenares Berlinde De Bruyckere. Naar aanleiding van de tentoonstelling in Bozar praat Lamarche over haar fascinatie voor dit bijzondere werk.
