About this Event
During the three-hour window, the shared space at 1200 Fay Street will be open for visitors! Drop by anytime 9:30-12:30 for a warm drink and a welcoming place to ask all your questions: on midwifery in general or care for your specific family. This free, open-house style event will also feature three structured times where each midwife will speak on a particular topic (schedule pending).
If you've considered community-based midwifery care but don't know where to start, you may have questions like:
- How do I know if a planned home birth is right for me?
- What happens if I have to transfer care?
- What are my payment options?
- How do I get my home ready for a homebirth? Is it messy?
- What is the scope of a midwife?
- How would a midwife care for my newborn?
- What does postpartum and breastfeeding support look like?
All of this information and more can be addressed during this event. This is a safe, informal space to learn more about your options for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care.
Register now to let us know you're coming! And in the meantime, browse the Missouri Midwives Association website to familiarize yourself with the local midwife scene.
Additional Information:
- Kids and babies welcome
- Parking is available in the building's gravel lot and along Fay Street.
