Resource Futures, on behalf of Zero Waste Scotland, are looking for new circular businesses to take part in its Meet the Market Programme.
About this Event

Are you a Scottish entrepreneur or existing business keen to embrace the circular economy?

Have you got a great circular idea but you’re not sure if it’s got market potential?

Zero Waste Scotland is looking for new circular entrepreneurs and businesses to take part in its free Meet the Market Programme.

This programme offers expert workshops and follow on practice customer panel sessions to help in the development of your circular economy business ideas and to obtain customer perspectives on your concept. The aim is to give you the chance to practice your pitch and give you confidence in your value proposition and ensure that it meets the needs of potential customers.

Who should attend?

You should get involved in the programme if:

  • You are developing products or services with circular economy practices at their heart (see below for more information on circular practices).
  • You want to feel more confident that your proposition aligns with the reasons why customers would want to engage with you.
  • You’ve tried engaging customers with your ideas and it’s not quite working yet.
  • You’ve been caught up in getting the product or service design right and you haven’t had the chance to test with customers yet.
  • You want to feel you’re on the right track and share experiences with like-minded people.
  • You’re a student, an entrepreneur, a fledgling business, or an existing business keen to offer a circular product or service.
  • You are based in Scotland.

Workshop agenda

At the interactive workshop, you will get support in:

  • Developing your circular economy value proposition.
  • Using the sustainable business model canvass.
  • Crafting your customer profile and journey and developing customer personas to build your circular economy value proposition.
  • Preparing for the customer panel pitch.

Customer Panels

After the event you will have a chance to practice pitch your business and circular economy value proposition to an online customer panel following the workshop in the weeks of 19th or 26th February. The panel will be tailored to your potential product market to provide you with feedback opportunities on your proposed circular economy value propositions.

Background

In Scotland, Zero Waste Scotland has already helped more than 200 businesses be part of the circular economy through adopting circular economy practices. Visit the Zero Waste Scotland website for more information on the project.
