About this Event
Come and meet ceramic artist Kate Bosworth at the Heritage Centre for another of our pop-up ‘Meet the Maker’ events.
Kate Bosworth of Orchard Grange Pottery will be here with some of her beautiful pottery, all hand-crafted from her pottery studio.
A bit about Kate and her Orchard Grange Pottery:
“I own and run Orchard Grange Pottery in Ovington where we hold a range of ceramics workshops and weekly classes. I’ve been welcoming potters through the doors here for over three years now and I’ve gathered a wealth of experience from getting people going with clay all the way through to helping people who have been with me since the very start make and even sell their own fabulous works. After Christmas, I’ll be starting a new regular class on Tuesday mornings, which will mean we regularly host 25 to 30 people here per week.
When I can fit in a little of my own work, my style has definitely evolved this year, slightly more refined, a little lighter in the hand, and with a vintage-y quality at times that I’m looking forward to building on. But I always have fun with it and make as many cartoon animals as I do mugs! My hope is always that the fun from the process pays forward to the person who finally holds the item in their hand.”
A selection of Kate’s work is also available to purchase in our shop for a limited period from the 8th November, or directly from her on her Meet the Maker day on 23rd November.
Please drop by to say hello and support local creatives and small businesses.
