Join us at the Palmer Branch Thursday, August 5 at 11:00am for a special visit with local author Christian Bensing and illustrator Timothy Feather! Christian and Tim are the minds behind the Tucker and Zoey Adventures. Their love of writing and drawing (and rescue dogs!) led to these fun stories of friendship, family, and lovable pets. This program is designed for elementary age, but all are welcome to attend. Copies of the books in the Tucker and Zoey Adventures series will be available for purchase at the event. We'll meet outdoors on the library lawn (weather permitting), so bring along a blanket or chairs. In the event of bad weather, the program will be held in the library's meeting room. Tucker and Zoey Adventures is built on a foundation of friendship, family, and the unconditional love of rescue pets. Our journey began when we became friends way back in elementary school. After graduating from college and becoming roommates, we did what all dog lovers do - we adopted a cat named Myles. Both of us continued to adopt pets when we started our own families.
Our experiences with those precious rescues have taught us and our children much about unconditional love, empathy, and second chances. We decided to share our stories not only because they are entertaining, but also because our pets connect us as a society. When someone says their pet is the greatest in the world, it is easy to
agree and then simply say, “So is mine.” We hope you enjoy our stories. Each one is based on real-life “adventures” of animals who were given a second chance and gave us so much more in return.

The Author: Christian Bensing
I am an author, writing teacher, library media specialist and proud fellow with the Lehigh Valley chapter of National Writing Project. A writer my entire life, I never thought much about writing books for children until my daughter was born. From that day on, I read to her every day, rekindling a personal love and appreciation of children's books. I quickly remembered how wonderful, powerful, and entertaining children's books can be. A popular topic for storytelling in my family has always been the interesting exploits of our rescue dogs, which have inspired me to write fun, humorous books for families that share positive messages about empathy, change, patience, trust, sibling rivalry, handling change, etc. Together with Tim Feather, illustrator and my great friend for over 35 years, I enjoy offering children stories they will want to hear over and over again. I live a blessed life with my family of humans and canines in the town where I teach, Nazareth, PA.
The Illustrator: Timothy Feather
I am an illustrator, a graphic artist, a web designer, a husband, a father, a son, a brother. I live in rural Pennsylvania with my wife, our boy/girl twins and our dog Gabriel. We own a small graphic and web design company that affords me the flexibility to also illustrate children’s books. The creation of the Tucker and Zoey Adventures series with my good friend and author, Christian Bensing, has been a joy.
