Born in Essex in 1971, Nihal has spent over two decades building his reputation as one of the best-known voices on BBC Radio. An award-winning interviewer who was named BBC Radio's Interview of the Year in 2019, he has mastered the art of meaningful dialogue with everyone from world leaders to entertainment icons.
In "Let's Talk", Nihal combines his extensive interviewing experience with expert insights to explore the psychology behind successful communication and how we can all have better conversations. Recently honored as Media Personality of the Year 2022 at the Asian Media Awards, Nihal brings his unique blend of journalistic rigour and conversational warmth to this special Rebel Book Club Manchester event.

Omar is the founder of an AI startup and also pursuing a PhD in Behavioural AI. One big reason Omar joined RBC is to get away from academic literature, gain knowledge in areas outside of his interests and to have engaging conversations with the awesome community.

Ayesha is a Teaching Assistant, mother of two and the founder of Mirror Me Write, a Manchester online indie bookshop, promoting inclusive books and authors from underrepresented backgrounds. Her hope has always been to affect positive change in schools by helping them to identify key inclusive and own voice books that could be used across the curriculum. In her words, “Representation is not a privilege, it’s a right!”.
