About this Event
The Friends of Hornsey Library group is delighted to announce our forthcoming event, the aptly (?) titled The Body in the Mobile Library and Other Stories. This is Guardian film critic's Peter Bradshaw recently published first fiction collection. In twenty-one deliciously observed, gloriously mischievous short stories – some previously narrated on BBC Radio 4 or published in literary magazines, others completely new – he explores the boundary between the plausible and the absurd, often with a laugh-out-loud gag up his sleeve.
Peter Bradshaw is a writer, art and film critic - and local author. He has been chief film critic at The Guardian since 1999, and is a contributing editor at Esquire. He will be discussing the work and there will be opportunity for you to buy a signed copy.
Door will open at 5 p.m., the talk starts at 5.30, and the ticket price includes a glass of wine or a soft drink.
