Meet St. Louis author, Joan Fernandez as she introduces her new book, Saving Vincent, (She Writes Press, April 15, 2025), the author tells the true story of how in the early twentieth century, a timid widow—and sister-in-law of Vincent van Gogh—Jo van Gogh takes on the male-dominated art elite. After opening a boarding house to earn income, she decides to prove that the hundreds of worthless Vincent van Gogh paintings she inherited are world-class to ensure her young son’s financial future. This is a stirring story of a young woman’s determination and resilience.
