The author of two books of historical nonfiction, Eilene Lyon has spent decades researching families to piece together narrative stories about the past. Eilene will be at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9 to discuss the research behind her second book, “What Lies Beneath Colorado: Pioneer Graveyards and Cemeteries,” and the source materials and some of the stories she uncovered during the thirteen months she had to research and write the book. The event is sponsored by the Glenwood Springs Historical Society and Garfield County Libraries. It’s free and open to all. For more information call the library at 970-945-5958.
