Meet debut novelist Amanda Goodwin!
About this Event

Join us as we host local author Amanda Goodwin to celebrate the publication of her debut novel I Played the Smart Pig, a captivating, haunting work sure to stay with readers long after the final page.

"Audrey has a lot on her mind. In some ways, she's just like any other West Coast kid growing up in the late 1960s, preoccupied with riding bikes, the new restaurant with the golden arches, and the most effective way to set up a slip and slide. But there's a darker side to Audrey's life. Her parents are getting a divorce, there's a war brewing in Vietnam, and she's constantly moving from one house to another, to name just a few of her worries. But as she reflects on the currents that are sweeping her life forward, it's clear there's another, far more malevolent force at play, too. Facing up to what's happened is a terrifying prospect. But it might just help her regain what's left of her childhood."

This will be the first in-person author appearance at Madison Books in quite some time, so you don't want to miss it! Reserve a signed copy of I Played the Smart Pig in advance by calling 206.325.3160 or emailing [email protected].
