“The reason I became an artist in the first place is simple
I became an artist because I realised early on that as an artist
you can get away with more than a tradesman,
a policeman, a teacher, a priest, you name it.
as an artist, you are close to being free!!' P.Spronk
Petrus is represented in the collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, and other National Collections. He is represented in institutional collections in Japan and Korea. Petrus is also a celebrated sculptor of many public commissions including the iconic Architectural Fragment, 1992, emerging from the pavement outside the State Library of Victoria. He is represented in regional collections in Australia, most recently by Daylesford Museum and Historical Society.
Please note: Following the State Government's lifting of the mask mandate except for high-risk venues, masks are not required but suggested.
