Let’s build a stronger connection to the natural world by meeting the animal ambassadors of Echoes of Nature. a private non-profit bringing people at any age together with nature. Their goal is to bring close, sensory experiences with live animals to their audiences, creating the connection to the natural world that is critical in building understanding and good stewardship. Both Maryland native and non-native animals will visit with us on our tour. Our hands-on experiences may include a variety of snakes, turtles, tortoises, and frogs; birds of prey, such as a red-tailed hawk and screech owl; and small mammals such as a gray squirrel. Other animals may include a small American alligator, invertebrates, and domestic rabbits. Participants will rotate through various stations manned by staff and volunteers. Each station will feature animals to view and/or pet, with the opportunity to learn about their care, natural history, and fun facts.
Ideal for ages 8 and up. No more than two children per adult.
