About this Event
The Museums of Mississauga welcomes you to officially launch our new exhibition, Meet Me at the Park!
Meet Me at the Park explores the mutually beneficial and cyclical relationship between community and parks and green spaces of Mississauga, emphasizing the nurturing role parks play for people and the stewardship of role people play for parks. Divided into two spaces, the exhibit explores the themes of how parks care for us and how we care for parks.
The opening event will feature crafts and demonstrations from partners including the Mississauga Youth Seed Library. We'll be offering free trees to the first 100 visitors while supplies last as part of the 100 million trees porgram. You will also be able to sample treats cooked in the historic kitchen! Stay tuned! More details to come!
This project is presented in partnership with the Master of Museums Studies (MMSt) at the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto.
